Synopsis
|
Bus driver transferred terminals 5/89. In 4/89, only drivers at his new terminal were given opportunity to bid on 25 new runs created for 1989-90 by school consolidation. He grieves inability to bid and charges the runs should have been posted countywide as vacancies. DECISION: GRANTED. Just as with teachers, when schools closed, affected drivers are not automatically entitled to newly-created runs. Jobs should have been posted countywide; in this case, this was ordered, but changes not required to occur before Second Semester 89-90.
