Synopsis
|
G, an education diagnostician, was, pursuant to an oral contract with BOE, paid $10 per day for conducting Placement Advisory Committee meetings. In August, 1987, the special education department was reorganized, resulting in the division of PAC responsibilities among several diagnosticians and thus, in the elimination of grievant's supplemental pay. DECISION: Assignment of duties falling within a job description is not a reassignment under 18A-2-7. An oral agreement to pay her for certain work was enforceable. It was found that G failed to show an basis in law, policy or practice for the relief she sought. Several cases cited on that point.
