Synopsis
|
Teacher's dismissal for giving alcoholic beverages to and having oral sex with a student was sustained as immorality. Preponderance of evidence is the standard of proof. The testimony of an expert that the student was lying was held inadmissible. Character evidence was ruled admissible for the teacher. Rogliano. No prejudice was shown in regard to the specificity of the termination notice. Fox, 236 S.E.2d 243 (1977). Other nexus cases are cited in the opinion.
