|
Gr's were employed as full-time regular cooks and were advised by letter(s) dated 2/23/87 that recommendation would be made to the BOE to terminate their full-time contracts and replace them with one-one time contracts. After a hearing before the Board their contracts were terminated and replaced with new contracts. DECISION: The gr's had more seniority than other Cooks working for the school board at the time of their termination. Code 18A-4-8b(b) requires that seniority to be considered when reducing the number of employees and to apply this provision county wide and not restrict it to schools where the reduction is being made.
