Synopsis
|
G and another substitute cook bid on regular cook position. G who was hired as a substitute first, but called out to work later, was not selected. In 1983 statute was amended to provide for calling out employees in a rotating manner. 8b(b) provides that seniority begins on the date one enters into his assigned duties. Because G entered her assigned duties after the successful applicant, she had less seniority and grievance was denied. Substitute seniority.
