Synopsis
|
School service vacancies must be posted for five days and filled within twenty days thereafter. This applies during the summer too. 18A-4-15(4) authorizes the CB to temporarily employ substitute service personnel on the basis of seniority to fill vacancies, provided that within twenty working days the position must be filled in accordance 8b(b) and 18A-2-5, the latter provision requiring a written contract. No written contract was shown in this case. G was reinstated to the summer bus aide position she previously had held and to the payment of seven weeks salary for the loss of wages.
