Synopsis
|
Grievants are bus operators and allege a violation of W.Va. Code 18A-4-8a when their work schedule was altered without their written consent. Grievants executed a document titled 'Employee Work Assignments' (EWA) which provides that working on a strict eight hour day will mean having a daily assignment of eight hours but may require changes in the daily assignments. DECISION: DENIED; Grievants signing of the EWA constituted written consent to the mid-year changes. Grievants have not been required to drive over six hours or work over eight hours. W. Va. Code 18A-4-8a requires that the daily schedule of a service employee may not be changed without the employee's written consent.
