Synopsis
|
Grievant, teacher, also had an extra-curricular contract for athletic training. A Level IV grievance was filed contending an inequity in his salary for the 86-87 season, contrary to the provisions of W.Va. Code 18A-4-5a. In 88-89 Grievant's contract was terminated when he failed to fulfill certification requirements. Grievant's salary was prorated on the 24 days worked that year. However, no account was taken that he had worked the longer days required of trainers. DECISION: GRANTED The record indicated that the amount paid to Grievant for the days worked in 88-89 was inadequate and violative of the uniformity requirements of W.Va. Code 18A-4-5a.
