Synopsis
|
Grievant, senior electrician, alleged that he had been improperly compensated for working over the Thanksgiving holiday when he received only twelve hours compensatory time off. DECISION: GRANTED. Application of Policy Bulletin No. 62 3.01 requires that an employee who works on a holiday receive regular pay for the number of hours worked plus compensatory time off at a rate of one and one-half times the number of hours worked. This compensation is in addition to the holiday pay the Grievant would have received if he had not worked.
