Synopsis
|
In Jan 1986, G discovered that he was not being given credit for pay purposes for the 1977-78 school year during which he taught more than 133 days (including substitute assignments). He notified his superiors and his salary was adjusted upward. G filed a grievance contending he was entitled to back pay. Bases upon a State Superintendent's Opinion he was found entitled to the pay adjustment beginning when he notifies the Board. In Smith v. Logan CB it was noted that the State Superintendent had been extricated from employee-school board disputes with the enactment of 18-29-1 et seq.
