|
All extra-duty assignments are based on a work need or requirement, whether emergency or not, but are allocated generally on a volunteer basis. The school board paid each driver $6.20 per hour as per the extra-duty bus driving rate for the Saturday extra-duty work until each had reached forty hours beyond the normal weekly work hours; it then paid each driver time and one-half rates for hours worked in excess of a forty hour work week.
