Synopsis
|
Gr's are employed as industrial arts teachers and allege that their contracts were terminated as a result of favoritism and discrimination. DECISION: The BOE did not include industrial arts teachers at a multi-county vocation tech center in the calculation of the RIF as these individuals are employees of the center and not the BOE. Gr were the least senior IA teachers and did not possess a second area of certification. Establishment Procedures and Operating Policies for Multi-County Voc Tec Centers developed to implement are vocational programs provides that each center shall be administered by an administrative council which shall employ professional personnel upon the recommendation of the center director. As these individuals are employees of the center and not a BOE they may not be included in a county RIF.
