|
Grievant was employed as a teacher on a probationary teaching contract and was advised that he Superintendent would recommend her contract be terminated due to lack of certification. At he time of employ, grievant held a B.A. in Business Administration plus six hours in special education required for the assurance of her teaching permit. DECISION: Grievant's allegation of discrimination are unfounded as all other individuals similarly employed have the required certification as did other applicants for the position. DENIED; the policy of granting preference in the hiring of school personnel to persons possessing degrees in education is not arbitrary or capricious.
